Edit photographs online and more

I had heard about Adobe's Photoshop Express sometime back but only signed up for it today.

It has the same function as Flickr in that it allows us to store images online and create slideshows. However, the similarities end there. Photoshop Express allows you to store up to a maximum of 2Gb space. You can also edit your images online, create a slide show which you can then post up on social networking sites such as Facebook, MySpace and more.

Flickr users should be happy to learn that Photoshop Express allows you to download images from their Flickr albums, edit them on PE and upload them back up again on Flickr.

And of course, it's totally free of charge.

Gangster game

Now you can be a gangster without breaking the law. That is because you are one in a game.

Gangster life is a free game where you are a con artist who has just escaped from jail. You can either play missions or go for the free play.

If you select missions, the objective is to finish all the missions (tasks handed down by the boss) without getting killed.

Play Gangster Life

I learnt about this game through Channel 4's game page.

Skirmish paintball game

Found this great online Flash game called 'Skirmish'. Shoot your enemies with your paintball gun. The games gets progressively tougher as you move up the different stages.

It was a bit sluggish when I played - not sure whether it was due to my connection or my computer. I killed 191 enemy soldiers and my score is 4505 (on my first try).

Got this via the GadgetLite Blog.

Create your own Flash slide show

I know that there are a number of online sites which allow you to create and host flash slideshows of your pics for free. However,if you wanted a software that would allow you to make animated photo slide shows with the freedom to play them anywhere, then you might like Flash Slide Show Maker v4.12 (11.14MB).

It converts your digital pictures into a Flash album in the Macromedia Flash file format (SWF) format. You can then burn the slideshow on CD or DVDs or host it on your website.

This software is totally free for personal use. No spyware was detected.

The Maze

The Maze v1.1 is an interesting flash game. The objective of the game is to reach the target without touching the walls.

Progressively gets tougher with each level. Has a surprise ending.

Tron game

Came across this Flash Tron game while surfing the net. Forgot how I got there.

Anyway, this great game had me rooted to my chair for several minutes.

The aim is to race with the computer and avoid hitting it or the wall. You use the arrow keys to control the direction and "Enter" key for Turbo.

I was able to reach level 3 after several tries but finally gave up when I realised that I had spent too much time on it.

They mention that "Out of all players only 45.74% beat level 3".

And Yeah! I am the lady on the right with a purple suit.

Flash Element TD

Flash game created by David Scott.

The rules are pretty straight forward: Build towers, upgrade, kill critters.

I got it from Aoleon, the Martian girl's website.

Addictive flash game

Check out this really addictive game here.

You have to build towers (arrow, cannon or air) to kill the baddies that come out the left of the maze. It looks easy in the beginning but gets tougher as you play along. The best I have ever done was getting to Level 19.

Just came across ASCII-O-Matic. This great Flash application converts your images (60x50 px) to ASCII art dynamically.
