Cheap branded gadgets

Found one of the best places to buy electronic gadgets at rock bottom prices here in the UK.

BestPricedBrands is a Direct Distributor of Apple, Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft Products and they supply electronics for business, government and educational institutions as well as consumers. Their physical location of their distribution center near FedEx's main hub, means that they are able to fulfill their customer's orders reapidly.

The first thing I noticed about their site was that it was very basic and very minimalistic. The products are listed under five different headings, namely
# Alli
# Camcorders
# Digital Cameras
# MP3 Players and
# Software

Clicking on a particular product give a detailed review along with related products and accessories. And the prices are really amazing. For example, the price for a Canon EOS 350D Digital SLR Camera (18-55mm Lens Kit) is £359/. That is approximately £90.99 lover than the listed price for this camera (£449.99). Go to the website to discover more great deals.

Your own customized calenders with Vistaprint

Vistaprint is one of my favourite online companies for printing services. So far I have ordered business cards and a T-shirt from them. Considering the fact that I got them practically free (I only had to pay for the postage), I was really happy with their quality especially the business cards. They were even better then ones that my friend had made at a shop here in Coventry.

Besides the above two products that I have mentioned, they also make loads of other stuff including birthday cards, labels, envelopes, flyers and print calendars among other products.

Talking about calender, do take a look at their new 2008 calendar. They are available in two styles, namely, Wall Calendar and Photo Wall Calendar with dimensions 11" x 8.5". You can either use one of their preset templates or add your own great photos. Now that we are nearing the end of this year, fully customized 2008 calenders would make excellent gifts for your friends and if you are in business, for your customers as well. The prices start from $17.99 for one calendar using one of their custom templates, with a greyscale grid and standard calendar paper. Just add $4.99 for incorporating your own pictures or company logo. By adding an extra $9.99, you can get it printed on premium glossy card stock. Ordering in bulk would get you better deals.

Amazing choice of work shoes

Even if you don't work in a place which requires you to wear work shoes, I would recommend you to have at least one pair at home. You never know when you have to do some heavy lifting. I realised this yesterday when picked up a table we had just bought. While carrying the table top to the room upstairs (which we are converting to an office), it slipped and dropped onto my feet. Fortunately I was wearing my shoes but it still hurt as it doesn't have a protective steel toe. I can imagine what would have happened if I was not wearing any shoes.

If you are looking for work boots and shoes, I recommend MetBoots.com. MetBoots is short for Metatarsal Boots - boots you wear where ever there's a risk of heavy objects being dropped on your feet. They specialise in all types of occupational and safety footwear and carry most of the top brands. Their prices are really competitive as well. Order now to take advantage of their free shipping for orders above $100.

Buying dining room furniture hassle free

When we go to buy furniture we prefer to go to places where we are are undisturbed - shops where there are no salesman following you around and pressuring us to buy some "amazing" furniture. Unfortunately most furniture shops seem to have these men prowling on their shop floor. I wish they could read our minds: "If we need you help, we will ask. Thank You!"

Like many other customers who don't like all the hassle of physically shopping including enduring traffic jams to get to the store and then being annoyed by the salesman, online shopping does certainly appeals to me. If you are looking for dining room furniture, you can buy them online at Wholesale Furniture Brokers. They have a network of physical furniture outlets in many major cities throughout the United States. Even if you are not near an actual outlet, the company says that they will be able to deliver furniture to all customers in the US including Alaska, Hawaii, as well as the Caribbean.

Their Dining Room Furniture gallery has a wide selection of furniture - contemporary or formal, etc. I noticed that they have slashed the prices of many of their furniture, some by more than $100. You can save on shipping as there will be no shipping charges when you pick up the furniture yourself from the nearest outlet.

Solution for acne problems

Most people assume that acne is something that happens to teenagers with raging hormones only. Well it's true that it affects mostly adolescents and I too suffered when I was younger. I tried out all kinds of stuff including anti pimple creams available in the stores and even some natural therapies such as sandal wood paste. It was kind of hard on your social life when you had a dozen red pimples on your face. Fortunately it cleared up by the time I got to University.

However, it was shocking to learn that a lot of adults suffer from ache as well — more than half of all adult women and about a quarter of adult men, according to the Acne.com site. This website is from the same people who makes Proactiv® Solution. I am sure you have heard about the Proactiv® Solution 3-Step System, as it is quite famous. The proactive solution was developed by dermatologists to help heal the blemishes that you already have and stop new ones from forming. It involves three steps, namely: 1. Renewing Cleanser, 2.Revitalizing Toner and 3. Repairing Lotion.

Well, I wanted to inform you that if you order it now, you will get two bonuses valued at $20 for free. This includes a Refining Mask and the "Face the Facts" guide on solving acne problems. If you are not satisfied with it, you can always get your money back as they have a 60-day money back guarantee.

Hard to find perfumes

Just the other day some of our friends visited our house and the conversations slowly moved to fragrances. It was interesting to note that all of us had one favourite perfume or fragrance, even though all of used used others as well.

Buying a new perfume as a gift is always a gamble as people have different preferences. I am talking from experience as a costly perfume that I once bought my wife remained unused forever. My suggestion is to find out their favourite fragrances and stick with it.

My all time favourite has always been L'Eau D'Issey Pour Homme by Issey Miyake.I have used others but I will have at least one bottle always. Come to think of it, it was actually the sleek bottle with the frosted glass that attracted me. My wife on the other hand has always loved the DaliFlor, Salvador Dali. Unfortunately this Eau de Toilette is so hard to find. I was really happy to find this perfume for her on Sendmescent.com, a UK perfume website. Best of all, I found out that it was £13.25 cheaper than the retail price on their site. In fact all the perfumes I checked were cheaper then the prices at high street stores. I definitely recommend this site.

Earn money by shopping

Loyalty programs are nothing new. A lot of companies will give you points for everything you buy from them which you can later redeem for certain gifts.

Cash back Online on the other hand rewards you with cash when you shop online on their site. It is one of the most established shopping sites in the UK since 2001. Customers can choose from more than 1000 shops, supermarkets and services. All you have to do is go through the links provided on their site and shop at your favourite sites as usual.

It's totally free and what happens is that you are paid a part of the commission that they get from the retailer for referring the sale. Every time you shop, you qualify for a cashback amount, which will be put into your account once the retailer pays them the commission.

Once you have more than £25 approved, they will send you the cashback either as a cheque or via PayPal. I just signed up and was pleasantly surprised to learn that they have put in £5 into my account as a Free welcome bonus. I can also earn £5 for each friend I refer.

They have a freebies page too, where I can earn some cash and win prizes without spending any money at all.

I like the fact that the site does not take your credit card details or sell your personal details to anyone. Check out Cashbacktoyou.co.uk for more details.

Online computer suplies store with cheap prices

Right now I am caught in a dilemma - whether to buy a new PC or make one on my own. I am inclined towards the later as even though I have do computer upgrading all the time, I have never built a computer from scratch. It would be quite the experience and who know, might turn out to be an income earner too. There a big market for custom made pcs among the University students here.

I found the computer supplies on Census PC online store to be quite reasonably priced. They carry a nice selection of Barebone systems - just waiting to be upgraded. This is also a good place to look for cheap CPUs. Besides this, they also carry motherboards, monitors, media card readers, and other computer products and accessories including cables. Check out the items listed under 'clearance' and 'hot deals'.

They do ship internationally but only accept Wire Transfer (purchase above than $150) or PayPal.

Harry Potter cheapest at Morrisons

In the UK, there's a price war going on. The pressure is so great that stores are willing to sell at a loss.

I am talking about the latest and last Harry Potter book - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Most of the stores are selling it below the suggested retail price and the cheapest is at UK supermarket chain Morrisons - only £4.99. That's £13 lesser than what Bloomsbury is selling it for (£17.99). FYI, Bloomsbury is the International publisher of the book. Unfortunately, Morrisons is not selling it online.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Book 7) is $17.99 on Amazon.com and £8.99 on Amazon UK.

As seen on tv but cheaper

We were recently watching the shopping channel (don't ask me why) when my wife suddenly found a few stuff she liked. She was about to call the number on the screen when I stopped her by telling her that we could get the stuff cheaper. She didn't believe me saying "how can it get cheaper than that?"

I told her about the TV Products 4 Less site where customers can popular 'As Seen on TV' Products at much lower prices (well most of the time anyway). There are loads of new stuff added regularly and one that really caught my fancy was the Clapper Plus device. This gadget allows you to turn up to two electrical devices on and off by just clapping your hands. They do have a remote control as well in case you are not so keen on clapping hands whenever you want to put on the lights (or off). The product is $2 cheaper than the 'As Seen on TV' price. Check out the other great stuff on the site.

Dreaming of a vacation

Here I am in front of the computer and reading about people going on vacation and I realized that it's been a while since we last went on one.

Right now all I can do is read about the places that we want to go to and dream. Fortunately the Internet has made these places really accessible and of course it would be foolish to go anywhere without at least doing some research on the net - list of attractions, entertainment and hotels among others.

Talking about hotels, Sidestep.com has some great Hotel Deals in different cities in the US as well as several International destinations. So if you are looking for discounts on hotel and resorts, you might want to go through the various offers on the site. They also have reviews of some of the top tourist destinations in the World and was quite impressed. The reviews have a lot of relevant information for each city that I am sure you would find useful if you were to visit the city. We were planning to go to Paris and now I have a very good idea of where we are going to stay and the places we are going to visit.

FYI, the company searches more than 200 sites to find the Web's best travel bargains. According to the site, they have more than 6 million consumers every month searchign for travel savings.

Affordable car accessories site

I have a lot of friend who are really into modifying their cars. One of them drove away from the dealer with his brand new car and took it straight away to the workshop - changing and modifying a lot of stuff. When it was completed a week and few thousand dollars later, he had a fully personalised car. A few years later, I met him again and asked him about his car. "Oh! I sold it", he said. Now I have a new car. Noticed that the news car was also heavily customized.

My friend told me that it was an addiction - once you started modifying and customizing your car, it never ends. It's an on going project and it continues until you get tired of it or meet an accident, he joked. Then you start on the new one.

Anyway if you are like my friend, you might want to visit Yocar.com, which sells high quality parts and accessories at amazingly low prices. For example, wood grain steering wheels or carbon fiber steering wheel need not cost you a fortune.

I can see that the site is still work in progress and am looking forward to more features including the detailed installation instructions and videos which they plan to have up soon.

Coupon code site

I recently found out that coupons are a great way to save money on your purchases. Before buying stuff online, I try to find out whether there are any deals or coupons online.

Among all the sites I frequent, I found CouponChief.com to be one of the best for coupons, online deals and discounts. Unlike other coupon sites, their coupon codes and promotional deals and discounts are up to date and you can go directly from the link to the product on the merchant's site.

Right now I am planning to buy a new computer to replace the old one I bought over e-bay and right now I am looking at Dell coupons. I haven't made my decision as yet but there are a lot of tempting discounts and offers.

There are so many other merchants listed ont he site that I haven't had a chance to go through all of them and new ones are being added every day. So, if you are lookign for coupon codes and discounts, this is the site to visit.

Night vision goggles at discounted prices

Found some great bargains on night vision binoculars on OpticsPlanet.com. This online superstore has the widest selection of night vision equipment for various applications including Digital night vision cameras / viewers, thermal heatseekers, and others.

Among the applications I can think of include neighborhood watch, hunting, security, SWAT, law enforcement and even military. I know of one guy who wants thermal heatseekers for ghost hunting.

The night vision equipment comes from some of the biggest names such as ATN, Yukon, Bushnell, Trijicon, Weaver and Aimshot among others.

ATN Viper Night Vision Goggles
Right now, the online store is offering free UPS Ground shipping on all night vision goggle and binocular models throughout the US. They do ship internationally too, to those countries where UPS and USPS services are available. However, some of the equipment may be restricted in some countries.

Online retailer of low cost media products

While blogging, I noticed that I have a floppy disk drive on my old computer that I haven't used in a very very long time. Most of the time, I use the CD ReWritable drive. I guess it won't be long before it goes the way of the floppy disc drive as most new computers now come with a DVD ReWritable drive. Did you know that the typical DVD-R media has 4.7GB of disc capacity.

I am thinking of getting an external writer soon. Looking for information on the best drives available in the market, I came across this site which has the best bargains on DVD-R. The site, Supermediastore.com, also offers a fantastic selection of other media products including DVD duplicators, computer accessories, DVD cases, inkjet toner cartridges and toner. The store is able to offer such low prices due to the fact that they deal directly with manufacturers and work constantly to lower costs. In fact, they have the lowest possible prices on all blank CD DVD media, Flash Memory and other products.

Supermediastore.com is part of the Linkyo Corp. and was established in 2002. It is a major reseller and wholesaler media products in Southern California. They guarantee that all products on the site are genuine and authentic.

Affordable HDMI switch and cables

If you are among those guys who won't stand for anything but the best in audio and video equipment, I am sure you know what HDMI stands for. However, for the benefit of others, I better explain further. HDMI or High-Definition Multimedia Interface refers to all-digital audio/video interface capable of transmitting uncompressed streams. This interface allows for the digital transmission of video and audio signals with virtually no degradation or noise. It replaces older analog standards such as RF - coaxial cable, composite video, S-Video, and SCART among others.

The only drawback is that buying the HDMI switches and cables will normally set you back by a few hundred dollars.

I was really happy to discover TCA Inc, an online retailer. They have amazing price offers on HDMI cables and switches. Compare their HDMI Switch offerings with other brands in the market and you will see what I mean.

Branded perfumes at discounted prices

Most men are usually reluctant to reveal that they wear fragrances and I am no exception. I guess that's a guy thing. However, I know that there is a really big market out there for men's fragrances. My favourite fragrance happens to be L'Eau D'Issey Pour Homme by Issey Miyake. I first started using it after my girlfriend (now my wife) gave it to me as a present. I have been using it since then.

If you are looking for a fragrance - perfumes or an aftershave, check out SendMeScent.com, one of the leading online retailers of designer fragrances in the United Kingdom. I was really surprised at the prices listed on the site. They are much lower than in stores and even other online, the new fragrance from Calvin Klein, for my wife on my ah ok lah blog. Found that it is much cheaper here.

The reason is that their overheads are much lower than high street stores. They pay lower rent and don't pay salaries for sales assistants. They also source many of their products from outside the UK where wholesale prices are more competitive.

Fragrances often make a good gift for both men and women. By the way, father's day is coming up (17th June). The site has some great gift ideas. Check them out.

Electronics store with a better price promise

The water that comes out of our tap here in Coventry is quite hard and it doesn't taste that great either. I have already bought a small water filter and it does it's job but we now require something bigger and of a better quality because for us, good quality drinking water is really important.

While searching for more information about water filters I came across AbtElectronics.com. They have a great selection of water filters. One that caught my eye was the Everpure water filters. Their Drinking Water System costs $ 187.00 and has a capacity of 300 Gallons. They promise to reduce lead up to 99% and their KDF Media controls bacteria. The best part is that shipping is free.

This leading retailer has loads of other quality consumer electronics and appliances. According to their site:

At Abt, we strive to give our customers the best service and pricing available anywhere.

In fact if you have find a better price on any product, say an iPod, at another legitimate authorized retailer, they promise to "do everything possible to meet or beat that price."

Go and check it out if you don't believe me.

Low cost batteries

I know a lot of people who have laptops but can't use them without plugging into a power source because their batteries have failed. It kinds of defeats the purpose of having a lap top because you can't have mobile computing anymore. I know because my wife had to buy a new laptop just for this reason. The old one is working perfectly ok and all it needs is a change of batteries.

I wish I had come over to this site which has an amazing range of Laptop Batteries. They are listed under the specific laptop and notebook manufacturer and believe me, I haven't heard several of the names listed on the page.

For your information, Lowcostbatteries.com is a complete store and information site that specializes in laptop and cellular phone batteries and accessories. They do carry batteries for other electronic products such as MP3 players, digital cameras, watches and even for dog collars. They promise you top quality batteries at the lowest possible prices.
