Getting the message across through humour

A lot of people are still unaware of the dangers of Asbestos. For example I was horrified when I once saw workers in Malaysia handling old asbestos boards with any protective covering, apart from a cloth tied around the face.

Air bourne asbestos particles can lead to Mesothelioma, a rare type of cancer. Sometimes the illness can occur 30 - 40 years after an individual has been exposed to it.

Found a site where they are trying to create awareness about the dangers of Asbestos, how to recognize Mesothelioma and find legal and medical help using doctor jokes, humorous pictures and short description of weird diseases.

This is a good idea as the lay man will often be confused by the technical and confusing medical terms used by doctors. Spreading this message can be a tough job otherwise. I can understand because my dad is a doctor and I grew up with doctors around me.
