Alt key symbols site

Am sure that at one time or the other, we had come across a situation where we want to write a symbol in the text but couldn't find it on your keyboard. I have faced this problem myself on my wife's laptop, which doesn't have the key for the pound symbol (£).

Found a great cheat sheet, which enables us to type a symbol using the ALT key and a number on the CALCULATOR part of the keyboard. Got this from esofthub's web finds.

If you want the symbol for the Pound, just hold the Alt key + type 156 on the calculator side of the keyboard.
